A single featuring three versions of ‘Strange Fruit’ which was made famous back in 1939 with a legendary interpretation by Billie Holiday. The song was written by a Jewish school teacher, Abel Meeropol, in response to lynchings in southern states of the USA. 85 years later, there’s something still very radioactive about the song and its importance only increases given the ever-present and adaptive racism that is still happening in front of our eyes.
