LIBERATION DAY IN THE HOLY LAND

Israeli premiere and live Laibach concert in Tel Aviv, May 11 and 12

Turning and turning in the widening gyre, the falcon cannot hear the falconer.
Things fall apart, the centre cannot hold; mere anarchy is loosed upon the world. The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere the ceremony of innocence is drowned. The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity.

Surely some revelation is at hand, surely the Second Coming is at hand
– and what rough beast, its hour come round at last, slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

Why, it’s Laibach of course. Not content to rest on its laurels as the first band ever to perform in both Koreas and setting its sights on the Holy Land, it will perform a special live set at Tel Aviv’s Reading 3, Friday May 12 in collaboration with the DocAviv International Film Festival.

The concert takes place on the occasion of DocAviv’s screenings of the documentary musical Liberation Day, directed by Ugis Olte and Morten Traavik about Laibach’s groundbreaking North Korea concerts in 2015, currently touring film festivals worldwide.

Presented by DocAviv International Film Festival, UnTitled Productions and Traavik.Info. Supported by Arts Council Norway.
